Weiterbildungsdatenbank Berlin

The Berlin data base for further education (www.wdb-berlin.de)
The Berlin data base for further education offers comprehensive search possibilities for vocational training courses in Berlin and additional information in the context of further education.
It addresses all target groups within the range of further training, is to a large extent barrier-free and is conform to the principle of Gender Mainstreaming. The use of the database is free. It is financed by the Senate of Berlin and the European Social Fund.
Researching and publishing educational courses take place in the common search portal of the further education data bases Berlin and Brandenburg (www.wdb-suchportal.de). Apart from the recommended input of search words and postal code, additional filter possibilities are offered. The data is updated daily.
The Berlin data base for further education offers a variety of different additional projects.
• A database for trainee jobs offers trainees and companies the possibility to publish and/or seek requests or offers for trainee jobs.
• In the lecturer pool one can search for specialized lecturers and trainers.
• An enterprise platform supports companies in determining their need for qualification for their employees. The company can send education inquiries to selected education suppliers.
• An Infothek offers comprehensive information on the topic of „lifelong learning“, among other things on instruments of public promotion of vocational further education.
• At the information center one can use internet terminals to find an appropriate training course or other useful information. Experienced advisors help those seeking information.
• Different on-line tools help the users to create their vocational profile, to find out their need for qualification or to apply for an employment.
• Advice-seekers can place a search order for training courses on-line.
• At the information center of the data base there are also people available to give advice on the “education award scheme”, an instrument of the German Government to promote further vocational education.
