All funds specified in the financial plan must be accounted for. In the case of a work scholarship you will not be required to account for expenses.
At present the opportunities concern the following artistic fields: trainee art (Hannah-Höch-Förerpreis), film video (scholarships and project subsidies) and composition (Berlin-Rheinsberger-Kompositionspreis). The intention of the female artist programme is to support all fields but at present support is focused on fields where woman artists are still substantially underrepresented.
In Berlin a large number of associations support artists and the presentation/publication of their artistic works: The Island Gallery (Xanthippe, registered association) offers artists of all art styles possibilities for exhibitions http://www.inselgalerie-berlin.de . There is a professionalization programme named ‘Gold rush for women artists with IT art projects’ in the context of which job-specific knowledge is mediated. The Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth awards the Gabriele Münter Prize, a famous art prize for artists older than 40.
