Multiplayer/Network Programmer [m/f]

For our current project we are looking for an experienced Multiplayer programmer that can cover the full range of multiplayer problems ranging from matchmaking and game modes to optimizing multiplayer code. Multiplayer knowledge with Unreal Engine 3 is a big plus.

Responsibilities

Design and implementation gameplay related network functionality

Write clear, maintainable and fast code in adherence to internal standards

Write and maintain technical design and software system documentation

Actively participate in team efforts by making recommendations on improving product quality as well as group productivity

Qualifications:

Excellent knowledge of network and multiplayer game programming techniques

Good knowledge of contemporary competitive and cooperative multiplayer gaming

At least 3 years of programming experience with 3d multiplayer engines

At least one shipped title as Multiplayer/Network Programmer

Excellent C/C++ programming skills

Good math skills

Ability to work to a schedule

Self-motivation with a strong work ethic, ability to work in a team

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

Desirable skills:

Unreal Engine 3 experience

Experience with Xbox Live, PSN and Steamworks
