“Imagine a society without hierarchy.“
Sinnema Animation Studio is looking for an intern in the field of programming for the joint development
of a VR project. The storyline is inspired by a small community from a south-mexican town called Juchitan. The women there found a unique way of organizing their lives and the lives of their families, which is very different from the patriarchic and performance-oriented values in most of the rest of the globe. We want to bring those unique ideas of togetherness in a western, urban environment and ask the question: Can you imagine a world without hierarchy?
Our project received a small amount of funding by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and is coproduced
by German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb).
So, what do we expect you to bring to the table?
A lot of curiosity and motivation to bring an idea to life. We strongly believe in VR as a new medium that
demands new approaches of storytelling. Therefore, we are looking for someone, who has an
independent mind and brings in creative energy. In addition to that you know your way around Unity.
You have heard of scene cloning or particle systems? Even better. The idea of other social structures
attracts you and you feel like participating in a team of young creatives without hierarchies? Perfect.
You can use this project within your own studies - we are open to ideas and suggestions.
Please feel free to contact me, Julia, with a short application letter, tell us what drives you, what you would like to try and learn. I will send you a more detailed description of the project.
