Precious resource, unexplored habitat, a mirror of life in the Anthropocene and dramatic scenery of its transgressions: Water as natural element has ever since been the basis of both exploration and exploitation of life, stimulating curiosity and artistic reflection. STATE Studio’s first thematic exhibition Hydrosphären is dedicated to water via interdisciplinary and experimental dives of artists and researchers who explore thematic intersections of water.
The mixed media exhibition presents projects by Stefan Wischnewski, Amanda Tasse, Claire Sanford, Nathan Kensinger, Birds on Mars with Gabriele Neugebauer and Society for Nontrivial Pursuits with works by Alberto de Campo, Hannes Hoelzl, Christian Schmidts, Bruno Gola, Isak Han, Kathrin Hunze, Hana Yoo, Yoonjoo Lee, Sanni Nam und Mija Healey.
