Description

Before the big question "How do I calculate my prices?" can be answered, let's first take a step back and ask: How do I get an overview of my costs? What does it actually take to build a financially successful and economically stable self-employed business? And what hourly wage can, may or must I charge? In this seminar, we want to address these questions around the topic of price calculation.

You will also learn how you can use cooperation agreements to get a better overview and calculate your prices realistically from the outset.

The seminar will be led by Helene Bosecker. She is an experienced cultural manager with national and international expertise. She will introduce you to the topic of price calculation and teach you in a very practical way how you can use cooperation agreements as a guide and for price calculation.

You will then be able to discuss the specific pricing policy of your sector with industry experts in the visual arts, music and literature, giving you unique insider knowledge.

Helene Bosecker will answer questions about pricing for self-employment in the visual arts. The focus here is on collaborations in a commercial and institutional context, i.e. from cooperation with colleagues, galleries, museums, private sponsors to third-party funding.

Katharina Holzmann will answer questions about self-employment in the literary industry: In which fields are self-employed people needed? How do I need to network in order to get work? How do I calculate my prices and to what extent is it sometimes necessary to adjust them to the market?

Christoph Hassel provides insights into the possible expectations of negotiating partners and at the same time teaches studio musicians and producers the art of confident and realistic negotiation. Smaller excursions into the world of live music, such as concert fees and the payment of live musicians, are also possible.
