Art and culture are coming back to life - and with the BEBEL STAGE also to the centre of Berlin. One of the city's most beautiful squares becomes an impressive backdrop for an equally impressive return of live music and performances. Funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe as part of the Draußenstadt project, the diversity of art and culture will be celebrated with an 8-day festival on Berlin's Bebelplatz between 24 September and German Unity Day. Admission is free.
Performers include Moka Efti Orchestra (Babylon Berlin) Balbina Blond Alex Mayr Brandt Brauer Frick Tom Schilling and the Jazz Kids Etna & the NDR Jazz Bigband Wallis Bird feat. Sam Vance-Law and Friends Aron Ottignon DJ Daniel Best GLEISSENDES LICHT - Ein musikalisches Ritual des Erinnerns (2021) Syncopation Society Singalong: Singen und Singen lassen mit Perpetuum Jazzile und dem Chorverband Berlin u.a.
In addition to the concerts, there will be films, readings, poetry slams and new circus on the historic square.
A hygiene concept based on the 3-G model with testing facilities on site contact data collection and limited capacity will ensure appropriate safety on site. The capacity is limited to 1,000 visitors.
