Description

artburst berlin e.V. invites you to the group exhibition "Stories of Solitude" from 22-25.10.2020, which explores the complex feeling of loneliness. Many of the works were created before the COVID 19 crisis and testify to the timeless relevance of the theme. The artists tell individual "Stories of Solitude" and thus protray the different shades of loneliness: as a self-chosen shelter, through involuntary isolation or as a means to enter into a dialogue with oneself. With the term solitude we understand loneliness as an idea, as a construct, as a strength and as a weakness.

The exhibition is accompanied by a supporting program with performances (October 24, 2020) by the artist collektive Hysterisches Globusgefühl (11 a.m.) and Octopus (4 p.m.) as well as a Digital Video Art Night (October 23, 2020; 8 p.m.). The video works will be shown shown on Youtube, which offers the opportunity for direct discussion between artists and visitors.
