Siciliano Contemporary Ballet was established in Berlin in 2015 by choreographer Salvatore Siciliano. Since its inception the company has worked independently in the performing art scene both in Berlin and abroad, presenting over 16 productions.
Salvatore Siciliano's work has gained popularity because of his keen ability to mix ballet lines and aesthetic with raw emotion and sarcasm. His choreography is powerful and sophisticated, it leaves a strong impression on the audience that lasts long after the work has ended.
SCB team includes 6 dancers, 1 playwright and 3 company managers, besides the company regularly collaborates with different music composers, visual artists, set and costume designers.
Job position: communications intern, external relations intern
Location: Berlin, Germany
Job start date: 1st June
Your opportunities and responsibilities at SCB:
- Research and support in the application process of contemporary dance / performing arts festivals
- Update and expand SCB’s contact database with relevant stakeholders
- External communication with relevant stakeholders and cultivating of relations
- Support the team in looking into new fields of opportunity
- Actively working on the implementation of the company by initiating new partnerships
- You will be given ownership of projects and will see the direct impact on the company
- You will join a highly engaged international team in a dynamic and exciting environment
Knowledge, experience and skills:
- Academic degree or professional qualification in the field
- Proactiveness and willingness to take own initiatives with professionalism and accountability
- Excellent communication skills in English (C1) both written and spoken; additional languages - preferably German - are highly considered
- Organizational skills and ability to effectively manage projects
- Open, proactive mindset and versatility in teamwork
