Description: Hi there, English-speaking journalists in and around Berlin! A few weeks ago, we went live with Squirrel News: a curated, solution-oriented, nonprofit news-service (squirrel-news.net). Right now we are looking for one more voluntary editor in our English editorial team for one day per week (about 4−5 hours), possibly on Monday mornings: Your task is to select the most important constructive and solution-oriented news of the day: reports, stories, interviews etc. on new ideas, social innovations, best practice models and stories of success. Afterwards you sort the articles (usually in an editorial call / meeting with the rest of the team), rewrite headlines and teasers, and prepare everything for its distribution (via app, website and newsletter). If you wish, you can also help us with PR and Social Media. We are looking for an English native speaker, ideally with professional experience in journalism / news editing.
