Didactics – Babbel's team of language experts – is seeking an experienced Production Manager to support our in-house learning media projects.
Your role will be to organise a wide range of educational podcasts, other audio learning formats and learning videos as part of a multi-functional media team. You’ll collaborate closely with diverse teams of language experts, marketers, freelancers, designers, and product managers in order to define the way language is taught through rich media. Your primary responsibilities will be to develop plans, build teams and establish a roadmap towards turning creative ideas into reality.
You are flexible and can wear many hats. You have experience working with a wide range of projects and can take different project management approaches. You can ensure that during a project everyone knows what to do and carries out their responsibilities. You have a keen eye for small details while never losing sight of the bigger picture. You aren’t afraid of ambiguity and can take decisions with incomplete information. You are a language enthusiast and have experience working in the field of education. You also love to empower others, collaborate, and are open to feedback and ideas. You can say 'no' to things when necessary, while offering more effective solutions. We’re looking for someone to join our team in a full-time position as soon as possible.
You will
Support pilot concept work, the development of scripts and visual strategies, ensuring they align with targets
Engage, brief, and manage key stakeholders across the company
Define project requirements and ensure goals are well-defined, develop and roll out workflows and processes for multi-language media projects Build teams (with internal and external members) so that we have the skill sets we need to carry out the project goals
Monitor progress of projects, deadlines, and costs and independently manage changes to the scope and/or schedule
Assist the audiovisual producers with hands-on tasks before, during, and after production
You have
Extensive experience in project management, preferably with media production or educational technology
Valuable experience hiring and coordinating freelancers
Excellent proficiency in English and German
University degree in Education, Linguistics, or Media Production
Great people skills and sensitivity for cultural differences and diversity
A self-organised, transparent, and team-oriented working style
Nice to have
Scriptwriting/copywriting experience
Linguistic background and/or teaching experience
Familiarity with video/audio software and hardware
Familiarity with IP law and contracts
