The Berlin Art Prize team is looking for a co-curator starting immediately through mid-October. The ideal candidate has some curatorial experience and seeks more. The position includes every aspect of exhibition production, including: conception in collaboration with the artists, text production about the exhibitions, coordination with the graphic designers, collaboration with project space directors, installation, event planning and execution, and deinstallation coordination. You should be open to the curatorial concept/approach of the Berlin Art Prize: Conceptualizing and presenting the individual artistic position of the nominees in close collaboration with the project spaces.
The candidate must be familiar with the Berlin art scene, speak English and can take part in German-language meetings, knows their way around all the office programs including Excel and especially Google Drive, enjoys teamwork and finds joy in organizing. You should be reliable, and answer emails or messages promptly. Perfectionism and flexible working hours are a plus. Paid on a project basis. You must be able to legally work as a freelancer in Germany.

Our organizational format is adhocracy, tinted with feminist anarcho-communitarian tendencies. We are a team bound by affection and mutual care, a lot of different people have been involved in the Berlin Art Prize over the past six years, and we are pretty sure that everyone would agree that it was intense but also very fun.
