Description
We are looking for a new member to join our team as an Assistant Venue & Event Manager. The right person will bring their energy, experience and perspective to the team as well as ideas for enhancing the sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness of our processes as a venue.
They will play a key role in coordinating a diverse range of events and activities whilst ensuring the smooth functioning of the space to facilitate such a programme. The right candidate will be excited to contribute to the cultural landscape of Berlin and make a meaningful impact within this unique creative melting pot.

Responsibilities:
Venue & Staff Management
Ensure efficient running of the space: bringing your ideas and resourcefulness to calmly problem solve in a sometimes hectic environment, ultimately helping the space run smoothly & serenely.
Oversee bar, door and tech staff scheduling.
Oversee ongoing venue logistics.

Event Planning and Coordination:
Manage event logistics, including venue coordination, staffing, and scheduling.
Ensure professional execution of events, from setup to breakdown, whilst fostering a supportive and collaborative environment with artists, staff and team.

Budget Management:
Monitor expenses, track revenue, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue generation.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in production in the arts, culture, or community development sector.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with many different personality types.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Calm and collected under pressure.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for exploring innovative approaches to event planning and execution.
German and English fluency is preferred.

Payment:
Flexible hours
32 hours per month / 500€ brutto per month flat fee
At least one event shift per week @ 15€ per hour.
Total approx 800€ - 1100€ per month.
