Description: Hey! My name is Marichka Lukianchuk, I am a film director and editor from Ukraine. I am currently searching for a gaffer for the artistic film ’97’ that I am directing. It’s a 1 day shoot that will take place on 5th of May in a real bunker in Berlin + preparations with me and DOP Jan Jurczak starting a week before the shoot.

Synopsis: “97” is a performative art film (10 minutes) based on a same-titled poem, combining monologue and physical theatre. It creates a vulnerable space for reflection and release, confronting the trauma of witnessing death and the guilt and helplessness that follow. The metaphor of dirt and cleanness is used to explore the uncontrollability of life, death, war, and love.

It’s a one shot film with experimental camera and light. More about the film and references can be found in the concept. Unfortunately, it’s a no budget film. There are savings for equipment rental etc, but no possibility to pay anyone. Therefore it’s important if you feel the idea, and want to have it in your experience and portfolio. When finished, I am planning to have a film presentation in Berlin as well as to apply to both film festivals and museums/exhibitions.
