Eurico Ferreira Mathias started play cello at age 18 years old in Porto Alegre.
In 2005 he moved to São Paulo to continue study and to collaborate on orchestras and ensembles as cello soloist and cello section as OCAM, Osusp, Orquestra Tom jobim, OER.
Also had participate at music festivals and masterclasses with musician as Martin Löhr, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Bejamin Zander, Claúdio Jaffé, Catalin Rotaru, Hermeto pascoal, Egberto Gimonti, Shlomo Mintz, Gilles Apap and many others.
In 2009 moved to Portugal for studies. Becoming part of Alexander Znachonak’s cello class until 2012 when move to Porto to study with Jed Barahal. During that time started to live and work between Portugal, Spain and Mozambique, had the opportunity to play with musician from different countries and backgrounds at the international chamber music festival and the jazz music festival (Maputo) and Remix Ensemble (Porto).
On 2016 moves to Berlin to work with different groups and artists creating and collaborating in performances as STAUB (Poeira Surda) by Lina Gomez, Ubuntu - Permanent Beunruhigung Vol. I at Ballhaus Naunynstrasse, Auf Meinen Schultern with Raphael Hillebrand, The Salt Welcome band and Cellogy. Also collaborating with different musicians and bands on recordings and concerts like The string Archestra, Diplomatic Choir of Berlin and others.
Used to teacher cello at the Neue Musikschule Berlin and now as a private cello teacher.
