KUNST-WERKE BERLIN e. V. is the organizing body of KW Institute for Contemporary Art and the Berlin Biennal for Contemporary Art. KW Institute for Contemporary Art aims to approach the central questions of our times through the production, display, and dissemination of contemporary art. By means of exhibitions and various event formats, KW has aligned itself towards the current tendencies of the national and international art and cultural discourse, and has actively developed them further. The Berlin Biennal for Contemporary Art is held every two years and is perceived nationally and internationally as one of the most important and outstanding biennials, not only because of its experimental, open and contextual approach, but also because of its dedicated profile. The Berlin Biennal stands for art that confronts the pressing questions of the present.
