Description

Matthias Strobel is a networker by heart and innovation enabler for creative industries and technology providers by choice.

In 2011, he co-founded the meanwhile international recognized and multiple awarded music-tech startup Nagual Sounds(http://nagualsounds.com/), opening a whole new world for adaptive and interactive music experiences at the time.
He left the operative business of Nagual Sounds in summer 2015 to start the help-initiative Friedrichshain Hilft e.V.( https://fhainhilft.wordpress.com/) and worked as Managing Director of a refugee camp, which he built from scratch and established until April 2016.
Continuing his work with refugees, he then founded the Social Startup "ZwischenWerk"(http://www.zwischenwerk.org/) and started - together with other smart minds - the project Creative Coding School(http://creativecodingschool.com/) to teach socially disadvantaged people skills in emerging technologies, such as robotics and IoT.
In addition to these activities, he worked as a freelance consultant for start-ups in the creative industries and curated interdisciplinary art and music projects(http://playthiswall.at).
His passion for music and the great possibilities of new technologies led him to join Music Tech Fest(http://musictechfest.net/) in summer 2016 for which he worked until December 2017.

Matthias Strobel has founded the world’s first Federal Association of Music Technology, "MusicTech Germany"(http://www.music-tech.de/en/) in July 2017 and just recently started the creative-tech innovation catalyst WickedWork(http://wickedwork.io/).

He also runs an event series called "Music Unchained"(http://music-unchained.com), that focuses on the identification of new value creation opportunities for music through emerging technologies.

His latest project is the ambitious goal to build a global platform for music-technology innovation with a database of worldwide music-tech projects. The "MusicTech.Directory"(http://musictech.directory)
