Lys Lydia Selimalhigazi is a very young art designer from Paris, France.
After a master in graphic design, she currently works as an artistic director, graphic designer and illustrator both on freelance and agencies, mainly in the field of cultural editing, art, press…
She is also a graphic artist and exhibits her work from Paris to New York. Her artistic work remains voluntarily more personal (dictated by her desire and not orchestrated by a dynamics of command, constraints).
Her work has been conveyed by various magazines and webzines, such as Stone Magazine, Iniciativa colectiva, Nikau mag and recently in the last number of IDN International Magazine.
Her influences are Antigirl, Insect, Kerry Roper, Nikki Pinder, Sarah Moon…
She works by mixing drawn and written elements, then scanned with polaroid photographs, collages, old style pictures,
engravings… Moreover, she also work on soft cuts engravings for some illustrations. she often put herself in situation through these pictures, using “prepared” photographs.
She loves to play with symbols and strange blinded characters to let people enter her oniric world and found their own answer to her stories.
