coopolis successfully generates and implements strategies for cooperative city development, with the vision of a city characterized by open dialogue, personal contacts and commitment in civil society. Areas in special need for development are firmly in focus. Using the model “zwischennutzungsagentur” (agency for temporary use) created by coopolis, more than 250 companies and freelancers have already been established in various locations as part of a series of projects called “Gewerbeleerstand als Ressource/zwischennutzungsagentur” (“commercial space vancancy as resource/agency for temporary use”). The model has been part of ten successful publicly supported projects in seven districts of Berlin.
As an intermediate planning office, coopolis grew up to be an experienced project adviser and developer for the various districts in Berlin, in the field of networking, integration and establishiment of creative industries.

coopolis takes over the implementation of process-orientated projects for cooperative city planning as well as the active networking and promotion of the creative industry and other businesses, predominantly on behalf of public authorities.
