Description

Fundación Besares is a foundation based in Buenos Aires, Argentina specialised in art and social transformation. We help young artists by funding the creation of their work and in return they give art clases at local "villas"(shanty towns). In this way we not only help artists create but also provide marginalised children from 6 to 18 years old with a space for self expression which contributes to the building of their life project and identity. This innovative funding mechanism also creates bridges between sectors of society whose interaction is less frequent as poverty becomes increasingly structural. Fundación Besares also helps in sustaining the economic life of the cultural industry since the funds are mostly spent in
professionals of the arts (producers, sound engineers, etc).
