Lucas Lacerda is an actor, performer, writer and director with a degree in performing arts from the Federal University of Bahia in Brazil and Artist Traning from the Universitat der Kunste, in Germany.
He has been living between Berlin and Rio de Janeiro for three years developing interdisciplinary projects between the borders of theater, performance and film.
Currently he is dedicated to the design of immersive experiences (audio-video-walk) based on practical and theoretical work around erotic sociability, micropolitical insurgencies, the danger of singular stories and the more than human world.
In Germany he is member of Octopus Collective, network of artists in research and projects with decolonial studies and started the artistic partnership Duo Poeira, with the anthropologist and filmmaker Daniel Weyand, developing performative audio-video-walk experiences, such as Gaia Stories, held in August 2020, in the artistic residence CountDown Grabowsee, in Heilstatte Grabowsee, curated by Alice Morey and Philip Schrader. In 2021 he is dedicated to the creation of the immersive journeys Strange Force for Ladøns Gallery in Gängeviertel, Hamburg and Herzberg Stories, funded by Bezirkskulturfonds Lichtenberg, in partnership with the Kesselhaus Museum.
In Brazil, since 2014 he worked in more than 20 performances in Brazil, collaborating with contemporary art groups such as Cia OmondÉ, Ateliê Voador, Brecha Coletivo, Coletivo Ponto Zero and Dimenti Produções. As a producer, he worked on several audiovisual projects and dance/theatre festival productions.
