TV show opening clip

The short TV show opening clip "Ratai Panos ir Alus" was done for a local TV station. Team who worked on this project was: Augustinas Balaisis - producer, Mantas Grigaitis and I. I was working with 3d studio max and Mr. Grigaitis was working with Softimage|Xsi. We divided work by animating different shots, half of them where animated by me. The model of van was purchased in turbo squid, while other car was modeled by us. Grigaitis modeled general shape of it and i have finished all small details like mirrors, interior details. We rendered different passes and composed them in After Effects.

tree modeling

I have done my Internship in a company called “art3D” Animation Studio in Oldenburg. My tasks where to create all needed tree models for close ups and nearest trees in a forest, which was not possible to generate with tree generators such as Vue or Xfrog. I was asked to do all the models “by hand” due to the limitations of current tree generators and the ability to covey details such as artistic style and individual tree trunks and branches complexity, in some cases, i need to model also the bark of tree.

Tree animation

Tree animation for Labscape project. The animation was created as a sample of possible ambient interface visualizations, and a promotional video. Growth animation was done using simple scaling and morph targets of branches. The branches were attached to the trunk using surface constraints, the same way leaves were attached to the branches.
