Description

Musicboard Berlin GmbH is a unique funding institution in Germany, founded in 2013 to promote pop music in Berlin. It offers scholarships, residencies and a Support-Tour Funding for Berlin based musicians and bands, as well as various fundings for pilot event formats, platform projects and labels. Additionally, Musicboard organises the Pop-Kultur Festival and the annual Fête de la Musique in Berlin. As contact point, counselling centre and mediator for Berlin's pop cultural music scene, Musicboard provides advice to Berlin musicians, bands, organisers and collectives, and supports their networks and joint discourse in close cooperation with politics and administration. By combining a respectful approach to diversity with a content-based music funding that is developed in close exchange with Berlin’s music-makers, Musicboard aims at sustaining a multifaceted music landscape.
