PETER GAFFNEY is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and theater director and performer based in Philadelphia and Prague. He is best known as co-founder and head writer of Philadelphia’s most celebrated vaudeville theater company, Cabaret Red Light.

Biography
Peter has lived, taught and performed in Prague, London, Paris and (since 1999) Philadelphia. Co-founding Cabaret Red Light in 2008, he has served at various times as artistic director, music director/composer, writer and prop/set designer for more than twenty original musical productions in Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York. Most recently, Peter worked as composer and music director for BRAT Productions' show “The Last Plot in Revenge” by Brian Grace-Duff, directed by John Clancy (premiered June 2013). When he is not working on music or theater, he teaches philosophy, literature and cinema at Curtis Institute of Music and University of Pennsylvania. He is the editor and co-author of the book "The Force of the Virtual: Deleuze, Science, and Philosophy" (Minnesota Press, 2010), nominated for the Michelle Kendrick Memorial Book Prize in 2011.
