School of Machines, Making & Make-Believe (“School of Machines”) is a uniquely curated school born in Berlin in 2014 that aims to invent unique learning experiences in the fields of art, technology, design and human connection.
Our programs explore contemporary cultural issues while exploring the latest technology as a catalyst to question the world around us and ourselves.
As a women-led initiative, we actively encourage women and participants from underserved communities to get involved in our activities. So far we have run 44 unique four-week full-time programs with more than 500+ participants from 52 countries, 60% women. The classes are small and intimate, usually between 10 and 15 participants. They are hands-on oriented and conclude with a public exhibition.
