June 13 and 14, respectively from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where your rights as an artist have been manipulated, oppressed or pushed back by your employer? Did you get paid less than agreed upon or were you treated badly? You haven’t been able to claim your fee or other earlier promised benefits and you wish to know how to protect yourself from these situations in the future? 

This workshop will present possible conflicts between employees and employers or employed artists and institutions. It will outline a retrospective of not only on the legal parts of the conflict, but also of the psychological and performative aspects, helping participants to analyze and understand the issues in order to prepare for similarly precarious situations in the future. The participants will be working in groups on some specific complex cases - based on contracts, correspondences and real situations - and exchanging their ideas on the potential outcomes of the conflict. Preliminary and actual steps as well as behaviors, potential solutions and strategies will be analyzed together in detail in order to find ways to successfully fight for your own rights. 

Note: Please feel free to bring your own cases (if given) which then will be discussed within the group and where you will try to find a constructive outcome.

In English spoken language, it is possible to ask questions and make comments using Ukrainian and Russian spoken language
