The Sound Team is fundamental to our products portfolio. It is responsible for the creation and maintenance of a steady stream of high quality, inspirational sound content products that fuel the creativity of our users across our portfolio, from MASSIVE X to MASCHINE, KONTAKT to KOMPLETE.

We are looking for an experienced Sound Designer (f/m/x) to join the team, to work on KONTAKT based instruments as part of a cross-functional product team located in Berlin and Los Angeles.

What You’ll Do

Building KONTAKT instruments

Support the definition and refinement of product concepts

Help source potential partners for product collaboration

Overseeing inhouse projects from the start to finish, from recording to sample editing to pattern creation and preset design

Give guidance and actionable feedback to partners during the product creation process

Being a key person when it comes to Preset design and coordinating a group of internal and external sound designers

You are involved in the creation of marketing assets (audio demos/website info, etc)

What You’ll need

Understanding of the needs of producers and composers in demanding environments

Professional experience in software-based music production and/or sound design

Experience in the field of film scores using virtual orchestral instruments

A solid network of musicians, studios and producers

Well organized, result driven and service oriented

Able to manage and edit a big amount of in depth samples

Solid Instrumentalist playing at least one instrument

In-depth knowledge of KONTAKT and KOMPLETE virtual instruments, ideally you also have some basic knowledge of KSP

Passion and experience in building sample based virtual instruments

Profound knowledge of the competitive landscape of orchestral/band virtual instruments

Strong communication skills with the ability to provide constructive criticism, both in the technical and musical areas

Experience using issue tracking software (JIRA) and familiarity with an Agile development environment
