Description: PRODUCTION MANAGER SOUGHT:
for a new performance by Grace Euna Kim that will premiere at ZK/U (Berlin) in early September 2022

WORKING PERIOD: July to mid-September 2022 (flexible time and location)

The production manager will oversee the main perspectives of the project in close collaboration with the artistic director.

Necessary background:
– Fluent in German and English (writing and speaking)
– Based in Berlin and knowledgeable about the local art/cultural scene as well as the social, political,
and bureaucratic contexts
– Experienced in performance/dance project and production management
– Experienced with site-specific performances and/or interventions in public space
– Competence with administration, finances and bookkeeping

Work ethic and skills:
– Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and high standards of professionalism
– Extremely detailed-oriented, organized, and thorough
– Savvy with online communications and social media
– Knowledge of photography, film, or graphic design a big +++
– Self-driven, independent and proactive, as well as being team-minded and collaborative
– Flexible and adaptable to unpredictable situations and unconventional challenges
– Clever and determined problem-solving and research skills
– Able to multi-task and stay focused and calm amidst chaos
– Critical thinking with a genuine interest in social and political issues, and the possibilites of art to

Conditions:

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE:
The work is the fourth in an ongoing series that explores symbolic violence and the politics of perception. As with many of Grace Euna Kim's performances, the encounter is an immersive social "fiction" in which "anticipation" is questioned as a political subject. Therefore the details of the piece will be disclosed only in private, and careful confidentiality will be required for all involved.

The production is supported by the NATIONAL PERFORMANCE NETWORK - STEPPING OUT, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media within the framework of the initiative NEUSTART KULTUR Assistance Program for Dance.
