To help achieve our ambitious cultural wellbeing mission, we are now seeking an Accountant to managing our wellbeing commissions. The Accountant will monitor, track and evaluate the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. She/he should have extensive experience (2-4 years) in a similar role at a senior level.

Responsibilities:
- Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
- Performing day-to-day accounting tasks such as financial reporting, general ledger accounting, recording of payments and cash; sub-ledgers including fixed asset accounting
- Verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
- Maintain meticulous records of outstanding payables. Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing and tax purposes

- Cooperate with parent company and sister companies
- Cooperate with Impact One’s external tax advisors and auditors
- Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
- Assist with other projects as needed

Qualifications:
You have an excellent work ethic with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work under tight deadlines. You have a passion for culture and a desire to work long-term with Impact One Team. You also possess:
- A completed commercial education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
An accountant's exam is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Very good knowledge of German accounting regulations and procedures
- Relevant professional experience in an international group of companies
- Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
- High level of motivation and problem-solving skills
- Very good MS Office skills
- Excellent written and oral communication; negotiation skills are a plus
- Fluent command of German and English, another language is an advantage
- A flexible and independent work style with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Attention to detail
