We currently publish over 250 manga per year. The team in Germany, based in Berlin, has existed since 2012 and currently consists of a total of 13 employees. We are the second largest publisher of Japanese manga in Germany. Our program lists some of the most important and popular series in the world today, such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Spy x Family, Blue Lock, and Haikyu!! and One-Punch Man.As a team, reliability, openness, mutual support and enjoyment of work are especially important values to us.About You:An apprenticeship as a media designer or a completed degree as a graphic designer or communication designer (f/m/d);
Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs, especially InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator;
A very good eye for typography and layouts;
Good knowledge of all pre-press tasks (DTP is not a foreign word) - Very good communication skills, a high degree of initiative, and good self-management skills;
Ability to work independently and in a structured manner;
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have: Experience in book production;
Experience with publishing companies.
A day in the life of our Graphic Designer:Logo design/adaptation and design of print products (books, slipcases, advertisements, catalogs);
Design of Manga advertising material in print and online (postcards, posters, banners, etc.);
Creation of layouts and generation of printable data, incl. image editing and final artwork;
Application of our corporate design and maintenance of the internal database - Production coordination, mostly on your own responsibility according to given deadlines;
Preparing and independently organising approval processes for licensors.
