Role Summary
We’re excited to bring an Assistant Videographer/Editor into our team to help us support the growth of our AJ&Smart brand. Your main focus will be to produce engaging and valuable video content that helps develop a strong relationship with our audience.
Your daily tasks will range from editing short and long-form video content for our YouTube channel and our Instagram account to creating click-worthy thumbnails. In this position, you will also assist with video shoots and ideation sessions to support our content strategy.
We’re looking for someone who’s always watching YouTube videos. If you’re cooking, you’re watching YouTube. If you’re brushing your teeth, you’re watching YouTube. If you’re sitting on the toilet, you’re watching YouTube. If you’re commuting, you’re watching a podcast on YouTube. Or if you don’t know something and you need to learn it quickly, you look it up on YouTube.

Your responsibilities:
- Filming and editing videos for our social media channels platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with the rest of the AJ&Smart team to develop content ideas
- Support our Performance Marketer with filming and editing online video advertising
Role Requirements:
- We’re looking for someone who has previous experience with filming and editing videos for different platforms.
- You should be on top of what’s happening on YouTube and Instagram. Ensuring you’re at the cutting edge of this space shouldn’t feel like a chore to you - it should be something you do innately because you love it.
- This is a demanding role. You’ll need a stellar work ethic and an innate hunger to learn and keep improving.
- Fluent in English writing and speaking abilities.
- You’re based in Berlin.

As a member of the AJ&Smart team, you are expected to be proactive and almost entirely autonomous.
There’s nobody to tell you what to do, and nobody’s job is to motivate you, so you’ll need to be a complete self-starter. This is not a company with a flat hierarchy. You will have a manager, but this manager will expect you to figure things out for yourself and is only there to deal with practicalities like targets, salaries, resources, etc.
Some people love an environment where there’s no clear guidance and you have the freedom to try things out. They thrive on openness and end up staying with us for years (we have people here from day 1, and our company is 10 years old!). But some don’t like it; they want more precise guidelines, career paths, and tasks.
