Description

Hadrien Daigneault-Roy is a queer dramaturgy advisor and director who has split their time and practice between Berlin and Montreal since 2021. A graduate of the École supérieure de théâtre, Hadrien has collaborated as a dramaturg with notable artists including René-Daniel Dubois, Jocelyn Pelletier, Hassandra, Fjord Gambin, and David-Emmanuel Jauniaux. Their work focuses on emerging stage technologies, queer performing arts theories and practices, and nontraditional stage storytelling.

In Germany, Hadrien co-founded Erratum, a creation company, with Sascha Cowan. Since 2019, Erratum has produced over a dozen performances presented at venues like Théâtre Aux Écuries, Le Livart, and Prospero in Montreal, as well as Hošek Contemporary, New Fears, and Whole Festival in Berlin. The duo also organizes the queer performing arts event, Wide Open Berlin. Their upcoming production, FAGGOT*S, will premiere at the Berliner Ringtheater in 2025.

Alongside their dramaturgical work, Hadrien has directed short essay films. Their debut film, DRAG YOU, inspired by Paul Preciado’s Testo Junkie, was showcased at over 20 international festivals and won Best Short Film at the Melbourne Queer Film Festival. Their latest film, What a Body Could Do, based on Ben Spatz’s essay of the same name, premiered at the Berlin Porn Film Festival in 2024.
