Description

I'm passionate, outgoing, and driven. I enjoy working on a team, especially when I am able to take a leadership role. I love to use creativity to find solutions - which is why I am very excited to be learning about the design process. At Stanford University, I double majored in Product Design (B.S.) and Creative Writing (B.A) with an emphasis in poetry.

I have primarily focused on product creation and experience design, however I also have worked on branding//marketing as well as creative and organizational strategy. I have used machines ranging from a CNC mill to a MIG welder to a lathe to a foundry. I feel comfortable "thinking out loud" with rapid prototyping methods that range in fidelity from paper to looks-like//works-like//feel-like. As an experience designer, I have worked on as varied projects as rethinking a mobile app for a start-up (KIWI.KI) in Berlin to looking a what makes customers tick for Coca-cola to the next step for older driver independence for Chrysler. In addition, I have helped both established and new brands bring their message to new audiences with CALPIRG Energy Service Corp and Patreon. At KIWI, as well as Stanford Student Enterprises and Valise, I helped to look at the way information architecture was effecting company strategy and what new methods could be implemented. With these organizations I also created a plan for infusing creativity into their messages and daily practices.

Right now, I am excited to be learning more about how my passion for story, and for design, can inform each other. In the workplace, I consider myself a prototyper, a strategist, but first and foremost someone who designs stories -- some small and some large.
