Katharina Scheidtmann is a dance artist, choreographer, dance teacher and lecturer. She began her dance career in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in dance education at the University of the Arts ArtEZ Arnhem. In addition to her own choreographic productions, she teaches at various educational institutions such as Seneca Intensiv, the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences, the Bauhaus University Weimar and in various school projects, including for TanzZeit.

She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary collaborative work and the interplay of body, contact and space. She has gained a lot of experience as a dancer and choreographer, including with the Kama Dance Company, Erik Kaiel, Beendend Danstheater Telder, Toshiki Okada and Introdans. In 2022, Katharina worked as a production manager and dance mediator for the community project "In C - Marler Partitur" by Sasha Waltz & Guests. By completing her Master's degree in Dance Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin in 2023, she expanded and deepened her theoretical knowledge and scientific work in the field of performing arts.

Together with 5 dance artists, she founded the TanzConnective FREYAS, with whom Katharina performed her first project "Fluid Bodies, Tital Voice" in the exhibition space in 2023.
