Mélanie studied cinema at Concordia University in Montréal, and both documentary filmmaking and photography at Ryerson University.

She is interested in documentary, visual storytelling, urban redevelopment, anthropology and migration.

At the moment, she is developing an audiovisual project on youth unemployment and migration in Europe.

She currently lives and works in Berlin with her family.
