Description

Daniela Lunelli aka Munsha is a Berlin-based singer, cellist, composer and music educator, who for years has dedicated herself to experimental singing and new sound languages to combine contemporary music, noise and transcultural harmonies.
The focus of her sound is on contemporary, avant-garde music and vocal research.
Her approach to music came at an early age through studying piano, which culminated in academic study on the one hand and her active involvement in the punk and rock scene on the other.
Her double background, as an academic and as a performing musician, has created a style in which the rhythmic grit of rock music nestles and coexists in unconventional harmonic structures; concrete sounds merge into melodies; harmonic suspensions into electronics.
Munsha merges academic experience, transcultural and rock music, experimentation and technical knowledge into a whole, ranging her productions from electronic, noise and drone music to songwriting and soundtracks.

Over the years she has composed music for theatre, dance and performative art, sound installations and interdisciplinary productions, besides her solo project and several collaborations.
She is music director and composer of the Berlin theatre company spreeagenten.
In 2021, she premiered as writer and director of the play “Alice's Siblings”, for which she also composed and performed the score.

Since 2001 she is also dedicated to teaching multiple musical disciplines and vocal coaching through the Cross-Over Technique.
In addition, she has long dealt with the complex and delicate issue of "coercion" in different fields and through different art forms.
