Description

Valentine E. Bossert (b. 1990, CH) is a visual artist based in Berlin. Working primarily in drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, her practice explores the porous boundary between self and world, probing themes of material agency, presence and absence, and the challenge of conveying what resists depiction or understanding. Her research draws from philosophy, archaeology, architecture, and geology, and often centres around imprint-based techniques that give voice to matter through texture and touch.

Bossert studied Fine Arts and Philosophy in London and has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions across Europe, including at the Roman Museum of Nyon, Centre for Contemporary Arts Derry~Londonderry, and Kohta in Helsinki. She has taken part in numerous international residencies and received institutional support for various projects. Born in western Switzerland, she has developed her practice across several countries, drawing on her multilingual background to support her artistic work through editorial and translation activities.
