Aubrey Theobald (b. 1996, she/her) is an interdisciplinary installation artist born in Cleveland, OH and based in Berlin. She earned her Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Sculpture and her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati DAAP, with minors in Art History and Critical Visions (2018). Her work has been exhibited internationally and within the U.S with a focus on the industrial Midwest, including Cranbrook Art Museum, The Carnegie, Stone House Art Gallery, and Ruth G. Pearlman Gallery. Theobald has independent and collaborative publications held in the New York Library, Franklin Furnace Archive and Printed Matter.

Notably, Theobald is a 2024-25 Fulbright International Sculpture Research Fellow in Berlin, Germany. She is conducting new artistic research within the Raumstrategien department at Weißensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, with additional affiliation at The Brandenburg Center for Film and Media Studies (ZeM).
