Description

DBM is an international network and non for profit organization existing since 1998, supporting the development and exchange of contemporary dance and performance in the Euro-Arab Mediterranean area.

DBM has about three hundred subscribing members (individuals and organizations) from several Arab, European, Balkan and Eastern Mediterranean countries. 


Since 2013, DBM membership covers all the countries of the “Union for the Mediterranean” (including the Arab League countries and North and Central European countries) . We also welcome all interested persons and organizations from other parts of the world who have an interest in exchanging with artists and culture professionals from the Euro-Arab Mediterranean area.

DBM membership includes individuals (artists and other arts professionals) and organizations (non-for profit, private and public organizations).

There are currently two DBM membership categories: 


DBM Members (free membership) :Any individual or independent and private organization working in the field of contemporary dance and interdisciplinary forms interested in international cooperation and exchange within the Euro-Arab Mediterranean region.

DBM Associates ( annual membership fee) : Any governmental organization which gives funding to contemporary dance, the performing arts, international cultural cooperation and intercultural dialogue - e.g. a public institution, official body, arts funding organization, foundation.

DBM Membership covers different disciplines : our main focus is contemporary dance but we welcome also other interested professionals and organizations who are working professionally from other artistic disciplines which are related with body and movement as a reference (interdisciplinary forms such as performance, installation, film and video, etc …).
