EnerKite has developed a dependable clean energy solution, producing affordable and baseload-capable airborne wind energy. An ultra-lightweight wing, fully-automated operations in strong and continuous high-altitude winds and ground-based energy generation secure the highest yield of all green energy sources, producing twice as much energy as wind turbines and five times that of solar power. The solution is easy to operate and minimizes downtime while maximizing safety. EnerKite was founded by a group of wind energy experts, aeronautical engineers and kite enthusiasts, and currently employs more than 20 people in Berlin, Germany. The company has been awarded 3.5m EUR by the European Commission and Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy of Germany. EnerKite works closely with leading industry partners and large energy players, ensuring a fast market introduction and cost-efficient global roll-out of its technology.
