Description

Julianna Bass is heavily influenced by dramatic expressions, and her love for life’s colorful dramatizations have stimulated her to seek out all that flairs. Originally from Tennessee, Julianna ventured to New York upon the completion of her design degree to continue her education with The Fashion Institute of Technology. She received top honors during her studies there, including The Designer of the Year award within her Eveningwear specialization. During her education, she also interned for notable designers such as Marc Jacobs and Eugenia Kim. Since then Julianna has had the privilege of working with major industry labels such as Bill Blass and Elie Tahari.

Julianna began designing under her eponymous label in 2008. She was selected as a Gen Art Styles finalist two years in a row and presented her Autumn/Winter 2009 collection during New York Fashion Week. Over the years, the designer has received numerous accolades from both U.S. and International publications including WWD, German Vogue, New York Magazine, Daily Candy, and Lucky, among others. Her designs have been featured on the red carpet and on major television productions. Julianna was featured as a contestant on the 24 Hour Catwalk on the Lifetime Movie Network. And, she was recently named the Grand Prize Winner of the Target/Diet Coke Young Designer’s Challenge where t-shirts with her sketches were produced and sold in
Target stores across the United States.
