Description

 Kathrin Hippen lives and works in Berlin. Social coexistence and dealing with emotions in a capitalist society are the central starting points of my artistic work. I see these as experimental stations in which the connection between body awareness and emotional expression is examined. I include the behavior of the viewers within the installations in my research into the influence of digital communication on our relationship with ourselves and others in public spaces. I see the emphasis on physical consciousness in a digitalized world as an emancipation from neoliberalist conventions within communication.
