The movement is the
relationship between body
and outer layer.
This interdependence of
body, movement, material
and shape is the focus of
this kimberit collection
In water everything has
continual motion.
The inspiration for organic
forms, flowing material and
pastel tones arise from
nature and the ocean world.
The goal was to explore the
influencing variables of
movement,developing garments
with different rhythm and
effects, as rebound-, nodand
float-effect.
The sculputral dresses of
silk chiffon are created out
of one piece of fabric by
using the draping method.
Thus having only a few seams
and dynamically develop
‚a life of its own‘ in
harmony with the wearer‘s
movement.

The approach is the minimalism as a form of art
in which objects are stripped down to their elemental, geometric form and presented in an impersonal manner.
With dengue fever the minimalism idea is transformed to fashion design.
My initial research was based on some questions.
When does is piece of fabric become a piece of clothes?
What new shapes can be generated out of one piece of fabric , developed out of itself?
Can you create every garment from one piece of fabric only, without using seams?
While draping with one piece I developed own and astranged forms.
The febrile atmosphere to be created was inspired by paintings of Jonas Burgert.
At first glance the paintings „Begegner“ und „Kurzblüter“ seem melanchonic and dreamfully,
but in the same time mediate enormous life spirit.
The pictures are a blend of tradition and young power and they also provide space for humans fears.
The choice of the colours and fabrics should reflect that atmosphere, but in the same time are limited to underline the minimalism concept.
