Description

Born in Dublin, in the 80's, the fifth of seven children, I would consider myself a 'people person'.
Originally trained as a classical ballet dancer, my career in performance kicked off with; Cannes Jeune Ballet , Opera Royal de Wallonie and Opera Ireland amongst others, as well as for Spanish director Pedro Almodovar in his film, Habla Con Ella. Based in Brussels between 2004 - 09, I transitioned from classical to contemporary work, dancing for independent choreographers including David Hernandez amongst others.
Choreographing since 2009, my work has been presented work at festivals in; Spain (Deltebre Dansa, Corpo(A)Terra), Belgium (BXLBRAVO!), Greece (One Small Step, Kalamata Intl. Dance Festival), USA, ('Uprising' - a conference in conjunction with Tisch School of the Arts, NYC) and Ireland (Dublin Fringe Festival, Dublin Dance Festival, Tipperary Dance Platform, Laoise Youth Dance Platform, Dublin Live Art Festival).
In 2015, Dublin Fringe Festival awarded me 'Best Performer' for my solo work 'Liminal'. The work toured internationally at dance festivals, as well as academic conferences and national public libraries, where it was presented for primary school children. The research aspect of my work has, intermittently, been supported by; the Arts Council of Ireland, Dance Ireland, Dance Theatre of Ireland and Danscentrumjette, Brussels.
In conjunction with artistic research, I work also as a dance/ movement teacher for children as well as young adults. In 2017 I relocated to Berlin to pursue a two year long MA, in English, entitled SoDA hosted by UdK in affiliation with HZT, located at Uferstudios.
Avidly fond of languages, I am fluent in French and Spanish. Whilst sporting a few expressions in Russian, Polish and Italian, my German has yet to blossom.
