The Installation was part of the Groupshow EUROPA at the Underground Station Bundestag Berlin 2016
"The transitory quality of the moment, to capture an atmosphere that is suffused with emotion and memories and to experience it a second time is the theme of Mona Jas’s audio and photo installation Voices (Stimmen).
On the gallery of the Bundestag underground station, this moment becomes visible and audible. Mounted on four columns are drawn black-and-white portraits , each measuring 30 by 30 centimeters.
The accompanying audio installation, which is initially not perceptible, can be called up via smartphone using QR codes (...). Visitors in the immediate proximity to the columns trigger a motion detector, causing a voice to be broadcast through a loudspeaker as well."
