Description

Abdessamad is a Moroccan line producer and the owner of Numedia Productions, a film production company based in Ouarzazate. He studied English literature at university then went to learn computer programming and visual effects which later allowed him to teach visual effects at the institute for cinema ISMC in Ouarzazate. He is the president of the Moroccan Association for Cinema and Culture, a non-profit organisation that promotes the cultural inclusion of youth - especially the disadvantaged - via the arts. Abdessamad now lives in Germany with close links to the international filmmaking community. Abdessamad’s dream is to one day see them produce their films in Morocco. Together with the members of his association, they created the Ouarzazate International Film Festival; an annual key event that promotes not only the city of Ouarzazate but the whole region in terms of film production opportunities and tourism.
