Description

p: photography unlimited e.V. (p: berlin for short) is the project space for photography in Berlin:
An exchange, learning and exhibition centre for artistic photography in Berlin-Oberschöneweide.

The association p: photography unlimited e.V. is committed to the promotion of artistic photography. The aim of p: berlin is to preserve artistic photography as an art form in its analogue and digital manifestations, to promote its production and publication and to facilitate its further development.

The association is a meeting place and hub of a lively network. It sees itself as a place where like-minded people can exchange ideas with colleagues and young photographers can be supported - with workshops, integrative events and further training programmes.

Our project offers space for photographers to exchange ideas and network in a variety of ways, as well as a place for learning, production and exhibitions. Formats such as The Photographic Salon and the further education programme p: berlin academy are also aimed at an international audience.

With its own workshops, the p: berlin laboratories, p: berlin offers photographers the opportunity to produce artistic photography under the best conditions. The non-commercial infrastructure, which offers a calibrated process chain from the negative to the exhibition print, is unique. Among other things, colour-calibrated monitors and printers up to 162cm wide and digitisation options, such as the Phase One digitisation station, are available in the digital laboratory as well as a professionally equipped analogue laboratory up to 4x5’ negative format, a colour developing machine and 100x150cm hand enlargements. p: berlin is committed to the preservation of historical production processes. The offer is complemented by a fully equipped photo studio.

The p: berlin project space already offers more than 350 photographers ideal conditions as a co-working space, learning centre and interface to Berlin's photographic community with international connections.
