Sara Ercoli

After the classical studies and the working experiences as assistant to the director for theatre plays ("Panama", by Federico Cagnoni), she studied Mime in Rome (Jacques Lecoq method) and Modern Mime in the Theaterschool in Amsterdam (Ethienne Decroux method). Her graduation monologue “Bel Nu” (text by Dorothy Parker) was selected by the IT’S Festival for it's peculiarity in combining spoken and physical theatre in a stylized version.
She works as actress on demand as reciting voice (Progetto Pollini, “A Floresta” by L. Nono. Queen Elizabeth Hall, London; Biennale, Venice; La Scala, Milan) and in leading roles in theatre projects as "Het Paradijs" about immigration (Le Grand Theatre. Groningen), “Circusism” (multimedia show about the Circus world by I Compani); in movies (Cinema Invisible by Kees Hin. Rotterdam Film Festival), as ringmaster for "Zing Zang Mengelberg" ( by Micha Mengelberg); as dramatis in “Sonikitchen” (The sound and the art of cooking, Steim), as performer for Bouwkje Schweigma ("Klep") and for the visual artist Germaine Kruip “I see a landscape”.The Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
In Italy she works as feature writer :“Via Salviati, the journey of a clown teaching theatre to gypsy children” by Emmanuel Lavalee’ y Gallot. Campidoglio during "The day of clowns in Rome" Rome; Borderline Blues, by Dodi Conti. She also works at the adaptation of texts for performances as IOVIODIO, dance piece by Gabriella Maiorino.
Acting coach for actors, musicians and mime students, drama lessons to the Modern Dance Department of the Theaterschool, Amsterdam, and vocal training teacher for the students of the theatre school Absurdacomica in Berlin.
