voiceXtensions

In the performance project voiceXtensions Ute Wassermann extends, prepares and masks her voice with resonance- and loudspeaker-objects, musical instruments, mouth-loudspeaker and whammy pedal. The vocal artist transforms herself into diverse voice-characters, which are illuminated and “staged with light” in live performance by Michael Vorfeld using light bulbs, fluoresecent tubes, torches, projectors and other mobile light sources. Between the individual voice performances Michael Vorfeld produces brief, silent and atmospheric light-actions. The performance venue is transformed into a light- and sound-performance-space. With compositions by Simon Steen-Andersen, Richard Barrett, Matthias Kaul, Michael Maierhof, Pia Palme, Andrew Noble, Cathy van Eck, Michael Vorfeld and Ute Wassermann.
