und.Institut connects the idea and practice of sustainability with art and culture.

Sustainability as a Creative Challenge

Without the resource of culture and the knowledge of art the development of a sustainable civilisation is not conceivable.

The task of und. Institut für Kunst, Kultur und Zukunftsfähigkeit e.V. is to interconnect the field of art and culture with the field of sustainability and to develop exemplary models of productive exchange.

The institute initiates, conceives and organises transdisciplinary cooperation with partners from the fields of art, culture, science, economy and the civil society.

und.Institut was founded in autumn 2004 as a non-profit-making association. In June 2005 the institute became a member of the Round Table of the German National Committee of the UN Decade of "Education for Sustainable Development".
